Cleaning up the docks of Egret Marina (Cancelled)

I'm excited to see what you accomplish, too. I've tried Egret in the past, but especially with the restrictions of the contest wrote it off as a far bigger mountain than I wanted to climb. There really is a whole boatload (puns always intended, of course) of potential in this settlement.

I also like how you boarded over the other bay. The inability to scrap that boat without Scrap Everything, etc, is a pain.

I liked the windmills. In marina build this month I just stuck a huge generator in the brahman pin. I am just about ready to post my pictures. I still have to figure out how I am going deconstruct it down to level 2 and level 1.
 
Okay, I have exported 3 levels with transfer settlements, but I am not sure what to do with them now.
One set of instructions points me to creating an ESL or ESP file and the other wants my save files uploaded to dropbox.
Confused as to what the next step is.

Just have your json files or saves for each level ready and once the contest is over kinggath or myself will get in touch with you,but testing your own city cityplan in a esp will help you find any problems.

Also we need your finale pics included in your 1st post on this thread.
 
Impressive build, looks like the whole town is ready to take sail and woe betide anyone who crosses that bear :)

It would appear I already have a problem, Vortex gives me an error when I try to install my cityplanerror.JPG
 
looks like you're trying to open the esl - you need to pack it into an archive and vortex open the archive.
 
says it in the error message; encountered errors extracting this archive - vortex is trying to unpack an archive, and can't because obviously its an esl. but its easy to fix.
 
Got the same message when i tried an esp file.
And do i just need to zip the file?
 
yes, read the error message. vortex is trying to open an archive and its telling you it can't because the file isn't an archive.
just zip it up and let vortex open the archive folder.
 
I appreciate the help, but i had no clue what it meant to do to archive it.
Seeing as how this is my very first mod created, for all i new was some bethesda process.
 
just take a compression program 7zip is a great one to use - install it in your system - then right click on your esl/esp file and select add to archive. it will make a file with the same name as your esl/esp but it will have a 7z suffix. then drag/drop the 7z file to vortex and it will open the archive and install the esl/esp
 
did you also make a scrap profile?
 
do you have the json files for the 4 levels and scrap profile?
