Patch 3.4.5 is available for Sim Settlements and Three-in-One!

Less exciting patch, but has some good bug fixes! We might launch a patch next week as well, depending on how content goes.

Also wanted to let you all know that I am aware that the happiness report still doesn't work after this patch, despite the note saying I fixed some issues. It's going to be a priority as I know a lot of you are hyper-aware of your happiness right now after installing Workshop Framework.

Something is wrong Food Production is in all Settlements 0 ( they Produce but nothing reach the Worckbench). Dont know if it comes from SS or WF.I update both to the last Version.Reports as you write don't work regardless what i have it say 8/20

I'm unable to replicate the food production issue you keep talking about Gladius. I have a team of testers working with me on WSFW every single day since it has released so that we can get the bugs all worked out. None of us are having problems with production.

If you can narrow down the mod that is conflicting - I can try and resolve it. If it is not a conflict, then the issue is likely that your files are not actually updating, or there's a problem with your save.

Really don't know what is wrong but with the oldest Save and the fixed Settlement the Food production was before i update ok.With the Vanilla Save that i download i can Play but not Saving if i run WF and WP installed. If i Save and go out of the game i can not load any more the save the game CTD.Today i make a Full Clean install of the game Download all Mods new reinstall all Mods start a new Game and i reach now the point i start with SS but right at the start the first Bug the Hud don't work.Regardless what i Build it show me no Food,no Energy and no Work to Fix this i must always Save go out of the game and then reload after it get Fixed. If i want assign someone to Works i must do it 1 by 1.

The HUD not updating and the assigning to multiple crops/defenses at once are both fixed bugs, which makes me think your mod manager is clinging to old files.

No, but it works better! I went from 0's being next to Food and Water to having 8's next to Food and Water! 8 is better than 0!

When i update i always use the option to uninstall and delete the old Mod full from my PC after that i make a fresh install of the new one or the update. The Version number i see is the last update you make.So real don't know what im doing wrong then. With the update before this one strange all work again and i was sure you Fix all problems only the false reports not.Can it be that all this Test updates mess up the game Workshopscrips so much that it become crazy as i use all your updates direct when they come out?

To be sure you don't have any files messing with things, just download the mod manually, extract the files and copy them into Fallout 4/Data overwriting whatever else you have.

I must be as dumb as slime in a pond!
I have spent the last several weeks trying to find out how to get power in a settlement for the City plan contest. Last months came and went and I'm no closer to figuring it out.
I have looked all over for a tutorial some where on YouTube but... Nothing that I can find.
It took me 2 1/2 hours to fined this way to get a message out and am still not sure If I got this right..
My wife and I both LOVE Sim settlements. I just wish I could contribute to it too...
If this worked to get a message out. PLEASE HELP! and maybe tell me the correct way to do this too! A message that is..

I might not be able to help directly, but a) you found this forum: Take some time and look at the various sections, as there are some helpful ones availble. Also, don't neglect the search option and b) There is a sim settlement supporters channel on discord. I see a lot of people getting help there.

If you mean you're building a settlement for the City Plan Contest, then you add power just like you normally do. Build a generator/s and wire em up.
When you convert your settlement into a City Plan, the software makes all the items that require power, self powered.

Thanks for the help!
I thought that if the power was highlighted purple it meant we could not use it in a city plan.
The only ones that are acceptable are only parts to build power plants and they have no power output to hook up to.
I will go ahead and use the purple ones to get power and hope for the best.
Thanks Again!

@Gimzi - none of us understood your question. All of the vanilla game generators work without turning purple. If you want different power options, look under the resources category of the project blueprint mod. You should not using anything flashing purple.

Yep....
I am the slime in the pond... lol
I started a new Avatar to make a city plain so I could be sure not to have any mods to mess things up with. It is only a level 1 so the best power available to me is the medium generator at 5 power.
I don't have Science to make any larger ones.
I only looked under Power from the project blueprint mod and only found parts for generators that had no power output. I never looked under the resources category to find power output items.
Thank You... Thank You... Thank You...
I am now making some head way! :~)

I'm getting 8 happiness from food/water maxed [population in sanctuary of 12, food and water production of 15 and 23 respectively] as well, a bit curious if this is an issue with the calculation of happiness or with the algorithm that displays them in the settlement report [I had happiness of 83 in sanct, then 81 the next day after sleeping, so I suspect the two are the same algorithm, which would make sense from an efficiency and consistency perspective.]

Installed the alpha and went and checked my settlements seems like the miscalculation in most of the settlements is gone. the only oddities I saw were in sunshine tidings co-op, red rocket truck stop, and tenpines bluff.

The situation at the three settlements is as follows: at sunshine tidings the settlement is unused, nothing build, the only 'person' there is professor goodfeels [using a mod that prevents him from being redisabled upon enable]; at red rocket it's just codsworth, he's working a IDEK's logistics station [in both of those 'single robot settlements', the water happiness seems to be under or overflowing, at first thought, which is odd since the 'need' should be zero, might be the way that the report calculates 0 need happiness values]; tenpines I have no idea what's going on, the happiness [and needs reports] show no deficits, but a predicted drop in happiness anyway [current happiness was around 75.]

So for the most part the robot settlements bugs seem fixed [greygarden was working properly], but 'single robot settlements' [with or without buildings the robots are working] still seem to exhibit the 'overly large happiness penalty' bug, and there are still a few things going on with the report in at least tenpines [may be related to the number of settlers in a location, tenpines is my smallest, at two, all the ones that are working correctly have at least three, this might be effecting the single robot settlements too]

I just posted 3.4.5a that should sort out the more of the happiness report issues.

3.4.5a is the one I installed [in reference to the previous comment], and it does appear to sort most of them, the exception being my 'single robot settlements', and the oddity at tenpines [everything looking normal in tenpines happiness report, with no unmet needs or penalties displayed, but still a downward projection for happiness. 75-68 with the shown report.]

You used the alpha build though, right? I just posted a new version to Nexus within the last half hour.

It might still have quirks in the report - I found today that there's a math bug in the game engine. It believes that 0/0 = -10, so that introduced some interesting corner cases I had to account for.
