Patch 3.3.3 - Another Round?

Was there supposed to be a 3.3.3 update message? I don't think I saw one and double checked the version.

I probably forgot to update the global!

(Was a crazy week for me thanks to the unplanned travel last weekend - shocked I got this update out at all...)

Too bad this has gotten so large and become almost useable for a lot of console users now unless the only mod they want is this. It was good while lasted though. I would have to remove just about every single environment, armor, weapon and companion mod I have just to room to continue using this now since it has grown so much in size and that would defeat the whole purpose of everything about mods. I still want to give you guys props for being so creative with everything you came up with, but you are forgetting to take the size of the mods into consideration and also not everyone wants all the junk/trash in their cities. Best of Luck to you and keep up the Great work.

@SFCR0CK The only reason the expansions exist is because of Xbox. I intentionally separated the content into chunks so that you could continue to use the core mod without it bloating out of control. Not only that, but I created the Lite version of SS just for Xbox players!

The core of SS is under 300 MB, and all of the code is included with it. So you can pick and choose expansions and add-on packs to go with it to get the experience you want.

The beauty of the expansion/add-on system is that we can develop forever and you all on Xbox still have an opportunity to enjoy the new content, by removing some of the stuff you've already seen. For example, when the next big SS expansion happens, you could remove Industrial Revolution, and try out the new content.

Thanks for the amazing work Kinggath and team, it's simply amazing playing FO4 with this! Can't wait for the next expansion now that you've spilled the beans... :P

I agree with @Zonary. I hated building everything and was going to resort to barracks and bunks like so many others before me. Fortunately, Sim Settlements came out right when I started playing (I still haven't finished my first freaking game!)

Taffington was my first Sim Settlements build (before interior plots)

Nice picture @Cranky Cat, do you have more screenshots? I want to see! :D
Also if you do have, stop by the Settlement showcase subforum to show'em! Here's my first settlement with SS too, but in Sanctuary:

That was a screenshot of opportunity :) I'll need to revisit it and take pics sometime. Mostly I used "Ground" with retaining walls to expand the buildable area into the water somewhat. That was before there were lots of water plots though. I just had a couple of boat homes from Junktown docked to the pier. I repaired the house with the Snappy Housekit by replacing the roof and broken walls and windows.

@kinggath I do understand what you are saying about the expansions, but just using Sim Settlements, ROTC and IR has grown from about 600mb in the past few months to over 950mb and that's not including any other addons for SS or any new updates . I hate playing without SS and the expansion packs for it now.

SS is the only reason I am still playing F4. And I appreciate that kinggath has kept us XBox folks in mind! Like SFCROCK, though, I am running into the "I have no room to update!" out of my 2GB limit reality. I swapped SS for SS Lite, got rid of some armor &weapon mods and a few QoL mods to re-install IR, and have a pretty stable (for XBox) game running, but I'm not using RotC even though I have it loaded. Too many crashes. Waiting for the optimized city plans! But I only have about 50MB of room left.
