How to remove city plan from a settlement

Hi
If you change your mind and don't want a city plan at all in a certain settlement, how do you remove the base level 0 city plan from it.

1) Go the City planner's desk
2) Select the blue print
3) Take back the settlement
4) Open the City manager settings via the terminal/or go via the pip-boy
5) Go to the Tools section
6) Select Local Self destruct sequence
7) Select Use full charges

It will take a few minutes to blow up the settlement

I tried that on Sanctuary - it crashed a few times so I scrapped manually what I could and then did it.
It appeared to have worked but I think its left invisible stuff behind as settlers are leaning on stuff that not there, working on non existent crops, and I cant build in a few places that appear empty.
I went back to the save before I tried the nuke.

Use the Fuzzy Duster... A.K.A "Town Meeting Gavel". It will remove all the hidden markers & lights. The Global/Local Scrap still needs the scrap list updated.

Do you still have the save from just before, and can you upload it to a cloud storage (like dropbox) and make it public, then share the link to it with us? Preferably a PM to Kinggath with a description of the problem. Please name the save with your [forum] name and a basic problem description.

Re the leftover stuff, I saw the same thing when I blew up Zimonja (to write the instruction above). It's been reported.

Here's a couple of pics with it revealed (blue people and small yellow ligthbulbs)

Yes I do - being on PC I tend to save loads and keep them all.
Just noticed I'm still on 3.02 - real life distracted me when I planned to upgrade
Did you want me to update Sims settlements and try again using the gavel first or did you want save file as it is?

I'd rename the save 3.0.2ScrapBug
then update everything to 3.0.3b and carry on.
If you want to scrap a City Plan, just "Take Back the City" and use the Town Meeting Gavel to scrap it.
Just remember to give it some time to actually remove stuff. Items will poof out "visually" but it takes a few minutes for the code to scrap and or store the items.
If you enter Workshop Mode and see selectable "invisible" crops, you'll know the process isn't done yet.

Hey Nik ^^ Can I do those steps to add the plans I just did country crossing farms gaul quest, stuck a desk down selected piper for leader since there's 2 settlers already there, didnt have pipeer with me tho, still doing lost patrol with danse, just one thing missing no city plans in the desk to get it f going to level 0 ..
( sry to lazy to re watch a video right now >< )
 
Hey Jade, are you saying that there isn't a city plan available for Country Crossing?
 
Ok thanks. I updated and went to sanctuary. Preston left the mayorship anyway as he tootled of to the castle. I did the town gavel thing. I had to go back into pip boy and out twice to get it to activate but all went well.
Will do a tour of it later to check for anything left behind
 
Yes , least not in my desk , went to tenpins and did their quest plonked a desk down and no plans in that desk either its saying , 'no plans exist"
Do you have plans for any city at all or is it just this one missing.
Have you downloaded last version of rise of the commonwealth and sim Settlements
 
Thanks for your reply shadow , I started a thread for the issue , and I'm hoping " touch wood everywhere " thats its fixed now , I meant to come back and delete that post, but will delete it now
But as one desk was buggy for me so was any other I plonked down, buggy save or some other thing spoiling it ...
