Just posted hotfix 2.1.3b for SS2 only, and 2.1.3a was posted a couple days ago for Chapter 2.

These two resolve the following issues:

2.1.3a for Chapter 2
  • Fixed a bug that could cause the HQ cell to crash if certain rooms had been built.
2.1.3b for SS2
  • Fixed a bug that could prevent HQ from working if the quest How to HQ was started after patch 2.1.3. This hotfix will attempt to restore HQ to working order.
  • Fixed a bug that could prevent the establish supply agreement HQ menu from presenting any options.
Despite HQ only appearing in Chapter 2, the code is actually part of SS2 itself.

Xbox players, the versions to watch for when you can safely update are: 58 of SS2, and version 28 of Chapter 2.

In regards to the Xbox versions. Ver. 28 is showing up for Chapter 2, sadly SS2 showed an update, kicked it out after finishing with an “Operation cannot be completed” error. Went in to description and it’s showing Ver. 57 still.

Bethesda's side and Xbox side are not as fast as nexus maybe give it a few more and then check again. seems they have gotten better but still always lags like 30 mis to a hr behind most times.

Yeah, wasn’t even taking that into consideration seeing how my post wasn’t that long after kinggaths. Thanks for the heads up!

Sorry @kinggath - could I confirm if the PC version using the in-game "Bethesda mod manager" should have the same version number that you're posting for the Xbox?

On PC it's currently at Version 56 for SS2 and Version 25 for Chapter 2

Thanks!

After new hotfix on xbox series x, I've gotten to the HQ, and I cannot establish a supply line it says nothing available.

Just installed and am thrilled to report everything is working great. No crashes entering HQ, no random crashes at most unexpected moments. GREAT WORK!!!! (Just saying. AMAZING responsiveness to the community and I'm not easy to impress.)

Not sure if anybody else has had this issue but when doing the cpd quests to take over their hq and the one for the butcher I show up at the spot to meet them and they are not there. Hq one sit on bench wait like 1-3 hours she comes running up quest works from there fine. Butcher quest fast travel to the quarry walk the 50 feet or so to marker 3 cpd officers are there but no brother and sister, went back to tenpines fast traveled again to quarry walked no show again last attempt tenpines sleep 8-10 hours fast travel to quarry and boom they are there.

I’m guessing here but apparently they don’t have the teleport to quest objective setup on either of them for those quests and are running from badftle all the way to the quest marker same with the hq one think she is running from bottom police station to badftle ( can never remember the hq name) not sure if this is a easy fix or if it’s just an issue on my end and don’t remember seeing anything about this either.

The HQ patch should be out around end of month and hopefully fix many of these issues and also have a lot of new features as well.

Hi, I’m on Xbox SeiesX - ss2 ver.58 & ch2 ver.28. unfortunately, I still have the “supply agreements” bug. Replaying the quest from the beginning did not help. Also have a bug with assigning leaders/staff to their jobs. In some cases, the assign window is pre-populated w/people. Sometimes even duplicate unique characters. Trying to clear and re-assign the list seems to work after a couple of tries. Auto assignment is set to on for SS2 and off for Workshop Framework.
hope you can figure this out. ;-)
Thank you.

You can fix the assignments by removing them all and then Assigning the leader. It’s going to take a few times to get it to take though.

Would it not be the craziest thing in the world to put off a bunch of the SS2 quests, like not start Chapter 2 until I do all the vanilla questline to the end? Would that free up resources for SS2 to run wild? Or will it make no difference?

Personally I'm avoiding most of vanilla stuff cause A) I'm sick of it and B ) that would create way more commotion in the way of vertibirds flying around, attacks from a faction you pissed off (not attacks on settlements but still. stuff like Concord) and so on. But that's just me. Building up everything before ever talking to Nick or most faction leaders :')

In my opinion, when starting Chapter 2, your settlements should be built up / leveled up cities with municipal advanced plots at least. By "How to HQ", your settlements should have lots of virtual resources.

If you finish off the faction story lines, you won't have many allies to come join you fighting the GNN, (I like to have all of them) but it's certainly an option to complete those first. Player choice!
