Patch 2.2.0 - HQ 2.0 is now live!

That doesn't look too bad - but I wonder if See Through Scopes is causing the same issue with this as it does with Where There's Smoke. Can you try equipping a different weapon as soon as you load into the game? Something with no scope.
Could this cause the radio conversation with hq to drop off or not finish had this happen a few patches ago and I use STS as well. Never though to check any farther just reloaded a save and let it run a couple times till it worked. And is there any way to patch STS or ss2 to STS so we don’t have to remember to swap weapons to ones without STS scopes?

asking because STS is super popular and tons of people use it meaning it could be a potential issue and people don’t know about it.

Just been testing and I'm getting the same result without having any weapons in my inventory.

I hear a lot of people are having problems with the SS2 XDI patch, can you try disabling that?
You need to be more specific. There are 2 XDI patches. ;)

My patch only touches Chapter 1 records for the quests: Where There's Smoke, Who Can? ASAM! and Grey Matters. I have found no issues so far with Chapter 2.

The other patch is by sranger. It adds [{Skill Check}] to many response text entries. My working theory is XDI does not like response text entries that start with [ but has yet to be proven.
I think it's actually a problem on Nexus itself. the SimSettlements 7z is it appears to be including some of the http headers in the file body when serving the file.
That's some first class troubleshooting! I never would have suspected this.

The files are rigged up the same way I always do, and plenty of folks have no issue. I can open and extract the local copies just fine - so the issue has to becoming from Nexus's end. I brought it up to them this morning, and the suggestion was that everyone with this issue report it to the Nexus support forum so their tech guys will have to investigate: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/4306-vortex-support/
Fyi, I have a Nexus premium account, switched the server to Amsterdam (I'm in the UK), same problem. I will send Nexus a bug report.

Anyone else having problems reassigning staff ? I can never assign more than 2 people to another department, one settler is permanently stuck in Facilities regardless of where I send them

I'm so stoked to play this!!

I'm wondering about the process that optimizes settlers. If a settler has an Endurance of 10, and is assigned to a farm and to an Endurance training plot, will their training plot change, or can they be trained to more than 10?
Or, is this a matter of the settlement has four farmers, but only three endurance training spots, and the one with the highest stat gets assigned elsewhere? There's a lot of really tricky math and decisions in this bit of code!!

From the patch notes. It says this:
  • Fixed a bug that would prevent NPCs from being unassigned from the appropriate training plot when reaching max in that stat.
My guess is that any NPC with 10 in any stat will be assigned to the appropiate training plot and automatically unassigned afterwards. Gotta see how it works anyway.

I'm wondering if this tool will help with the unassignment bug. I think it will do, but not until you reach HQ

I fixed this by sending them to a settlement, then sending them back to HQ and reassigning them.

I don't know if that was a good idea tho.

Hi everyone, I installed the latest patches last night but my power transfer is still stuck at 0 during the commonwealth rising quest..Ive done everything right according to members of the collection I use who have successfully finsihed this last quest os ss2 successfully. At this stage I would pay actual money to someone to help me solve this issue, could anyone offer any bit of advice as to what I could do to get my power transfer going to hq from my settlements??

When I did this I used the entry way in the basement which I think is what they suggested and ran into the same thing for awhile. Eventually, after refreshing it a few times it turned out that while I had plenty of Facilities workers to clean it, I didn't have the workers to build it, but the game never told me that.

In short, the code was lagging, I'd suggest afking in HQ for awhile and letting it all catch up. Then try refreshing that room again.

Hey Lordoftheheapes,

Im not sure I understand what youre talking about?
what room should I refresh?
Ive everything built out ,the quest is at the stage where Im supposed to use supply agreements and power transfer plots to increase hq power to 1000 but its stuck at 0
Despite having 5 or 6 settlelemtns with PLENTY of surplus power.
Are you saying that something isnt quite right/built out properly in the basement?
Im sorry for bothering you,but could you be a bit more specific? thankyou

I have tried downloading ss2 and ss2 chapter 2 using Vortex and my browser Microsoft Edge, i even tried manual download, and i still cant get it to work, i even uninstalled ss2 and chapter2 from my Vortex and redownload the mod from nexus as clean download, and i still cant load it up.

I don't think the supply agreements come into play here as long as your settlements are linked with the caravan services. As for the rest...

Find the room you "built" the power transfer room in at HQ. For me, it was the room in the basement with the elevator, there may be another option that you used, I don't know.

1. Is it clean? If no, assign your goons to clean it, but choose cancel when asked what to build.

2. Once clean, while in the room use facilities>build>(that room's name) wait until it prompts you to choose what to build. For me, I only had the one option. It should eventually pop up with the list of things you have to have to build it. If you have it all, accept it and you're good to go. You should see the construction supplies spawn somewhere nearby. Those will tell you that it's working.

3. Leave HQ for a few days (with minimal waiting/sleeping as this just compiles the background shit the game is trying to do). I like afking at home plate since in barely loads anything else. Really, just go there and do something else for a couple hours while the game processes everything. Just make sure it doesn't pause.

4. Go back to HQ and check the room. If it's ready you should see a number there now. For me it was only 850/1000 and that is where I'm currently stuck, but the point is progress, not necessarily completion. If the room is still empty, use the wall panel for that room(for me, it was next to the elevator) and refresh the room, then go into the next room and wait(afk again) Depending on your computer this part can take awhile. I did this a few times before it worked. If this doesn't work for you, you'll need someone smarter than me to help you.

I had this issue as well. As stated earlier in the thread it works if you change the extension from 7z to zip.

OMg if this works Im gonna name my forst born after u

You know what I just realized? I think youre stuck on a different stage of the questz thats why you didnt think supply agreements had anything to do with this...look:PXL_20220724_181053403.jpgPXL_20220724_181046639.jpg
