Patch 2.1.0 - Better City Planning is now live!

Just installed sim settlements version 2.1.0 when I loaded my save got a error sayingan esm file was missing. GNN is gone from my map and the site is completely nuked, clipping all over, how to HQ quest gone. Seems anything attached to rise of the gunners is missing. Jake and anyone from HQ vanished. Cpd and nightingale are gone too.
Did you install the new chapter 2 and extended files as well ?

I wanted to start a new game with the new version, but unfortunately I get infinite load bug. I uninstalled all other mods and was able to narrow it down to SS2. Before the update everything was working fine.

Anyone with similar experience?

Yes. Updated properly. Like I said in a new game the new icons do appear in a settlement, but after exiting the game and returning they do not appear at all. This has been tested on 3 different save files. The icons are always there in the beginning, but if I quit the game and try to reload a save game they don't return.

Also, is there not an option or hotkey to force them to turn on and off? Seems like an oversight. Or, as usual, I'm blind.

Thanks for any further information that can be suggested or options to try.

I did the quest "From Sea to Glowing Sea" and activated all six relay towers. Jake told me nice job for getting all of them, but the quest still appears as active in my acttive quests. Also randomly still getting the bug in HQ where the status bar at the top shows how many settlers are there, but fails to load the rest of the status bar icons/numbers.

There seems to be a bug with the Hellhounds in the last CPD quest. They're all non aggressive when taking back the station. Only, once the dialogue with their leader triggers, the few standing in the room turn aggressive.

So, I did the updates and the game crashed as soon as I fast travelled back to Concord to meet Jake. Loaded up the game again, and it crashed, performed the ancient IT trick of smacking my PC, game has ran fine ever since :) Seriously, maybe the update just needed to work it's way through an existing play through I don't know. But I played for an hour afterwards and didn't have a single bug, hiccup, or crash.

So after the latest update I've noticed a set of numbers above the settlement status meters that I'm not quite sure what they mean. See the images below:

HUD 1.png HUD 2.png

The numbers beside the little person icon above the box. The number on the left seems to match the number of listed inhabitants of the settlements, but I'm not sure what the number to the right of the slash is. Unless it was described in the change log and I didn't comprehend what I read....

I also have some difficulties decyphering the meaning of the symbols. For example, I have no idea what the icon between power and housing is supposed to mean. Hygiene, cleanilyness, since it seems to show a broom?

My thought was the first number is the amount of people and the second is the number of people that have a residential plot. That is just my guess so I may be wrong.

The top 10/10 number is the total settlers vs the amount that the city plan can Handel. The icon that looks like a mop and bucket is the settlement cleanliness its related to the disease system.

I strongly recommend watching the latest YouTube video from Kinggath, he covers the new symbols etc.
I did. The numbers are for city plans, with the right number being the amount of settlers needed for upgrade, while the left is the number of settlers present.

Kinda strange since I only have two city plans running, and neither of those screen shots were from those particular settlements :unknw

The number on the left is current settlers. Number on the right is max that can be supported.

Hi Mondo-
I did some testing with that a couple of days ago. In a non-plan settlement (I don't use the city plans myself) it seems the numbers are your current settlers and the current maximum you can recruit. You can test this yourself and see it in action. look at the numbers, then put on some charisma gear and then look at the numbers again.

Just my two cents.

How do you turn on the new HUD icons? Installed the newest update and the new icons are not there. Started a new game to test and the new icons were in the HUD. But after quiting the game, to desktop, and reloading the same save the new icons are gone. I can't find a setting or hotkey to turn them on and off. Am I missing something, or is this a bug?
Are you in a city plan settlement? It only activates in places you have city plans.

It's showing up everywhere for me, even manually built settlements? (in which case the second digit is clearly the 10+Charisma value used by vanilla)

Never mind then… mine might be borked too then. I’ll check later.

+1 Except Jake was "on the pot" so Lupe answered when I finished! (Nice touch)
Now that we have all the towers, what next? No instruction and the quest is still active.
