I've been using Nexus Mods for mods since... I think Oblivion, but it seems like some modders don't like it, and only host on Bethesda.net.
Can Bethesda.net mods be used with a mod manager (I use MO2)? Can MO2 check Bethesda.net for updates? How is that handled?
With respect to the modders who choose Bethesda.net, as a PC player, I always figured Bethesda.net was for console players. While support for it is baked into the game, PC players have load order sorting tools and mod managers that do things beyond what the Fallout 4 mods tool offers. So, while the site (viewed in a web browser) might be viable for PC players, as a PC player, I would never use the in-game mods tool, just because MO2/LOOT is so much better (read: easier; I know there are known issues with LOOT).
No super long discussion (from me, in the OP) today, being the holiday and all, just wanted to throw out a quick question or two. Longer discussion topic incoming later this weekend (if I have time).
That being said... Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it! (I have a coworker who doesn't, so it's made me sensitive to the reality that not everybody does. So, if that's you as well — have a great weekend!)
